Solicitor Capability Framework information session – on-demand recording

  On-demand recording

This session was broadcast on 13 November 2025.

To support the introduction of the The Law Society of NSW Solicitor Capability Framework we are very pleased to deliver a complimentary information session to the profession, featuring the President of The Law Society of New South Wales, Jennifer Ball, and the lead project consultant, Dr Marcus Bowles from the Institute of Working Futures.

The Solicitor Capability Framework defines the enduring, non-technical skills and behaviours that reflect best practice in the profession. It is designed to equip solicitors with the capabilities needed to thrive in practice, today and into the future.

In a moderated discussion, Dr Marcus Bowles and Jennifer Ball cover topics such as why the Framework was developed, what is a capability, the development process, and how solicitors can use the Framework to guide and meet their professional development goals.
