This session provides a thorough overview of the Walama List, with an emphasis on its objectives and the holistic approach to sentencing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander offenders that utilises a restorative and therapeutic model. Furthermore, Her Honour discusses the role of Elders and Respected Community Members and the importance of cultural authority.
